Forever Walking Alone is part of the two-album spanning Dragonland Chronicles concept albums, which have nothing to do with FF whasoever. Yay baseless speculation!!!1

Dragondawn

edit

I think that the song 'Dragondawn', from the album 'The Battle of the Ivory Plains', is tweaked slightly from 'A Gift of a Thistle' composed by James Horner for the sountrack of Braveheart. Whether that is plagarism or not I am unsure. I would like someone to get to the bottom of this, but I can't because i'm tired.

After listening to the two pieces I, after careful scrutinizing, did indeed find around three occasions where the note progression was similar but it was only for about 4-5 seconds and it was not a recurring section like a chorus (EX: the part that was claimed to be plagiarized in that Coldplay song Viva la Vida by Joe Satriani). And in cases of plagiarism I really don't know how they determine if something is plagiarized I think that since Coldplay got so famous for that single Satriani felt like he needed to say something to give credit where its due, and Coldplay settled it with him with a payment so he could stop raising issues over it because its bad rep for a band to be a plagiarist. Anyway in the case of Dragonland they are a small indie band so I doubt anyone's going to raise an issue over three 4-5 sec clips that "sort of" sound similar. Broken up?

edit

The release date for the new album is early 2009, and it's clearly not out. The official site is gone, the myspace is still Dragonland-themed. I think they broke up silently. Either way, the article should be changed to "TBA" for the new album. I'll try a myspace message to see whats going on. -Winter123 (talk) 17:11, 27 August 2009 (UTC)Reply

They're just taking their time it seems. Fair enough, they rock. 86.135.77.101 (talk) 19:02, 20 February 2011 (UTC)Reply
