I will clean it up this day
Stef inventor of the World arm lamp
I am working of the car mark list
I want to make a list how mutch visibility the driver haves in different mark en type of cars
I used the car list of the cw article.
Can I do that ??
Thanks
Stef
There is no information of this kind of measurements on the Internet about modern cars.
take a safe guess
Hello
It is better to call a flat windshield <45 degree, and a vertical windshield 90 degree
I chance al the degrees in the article
Stef
Hello
I am a postman and I drive match in the city traffic with different models cargo buses.
I have a lot of traffic and driving experience, with driving between bicycles and pedestrians.
I have driven a lot of different type of cargo buses with different windshield and A-pillar angles.
I collected my and my colleagues experience regarding traffic safety and car design.
Me and a lot of my colleagues are affright about the driver visibility safety of the new model vehicles.
Lately the look of the car fashion is more important than the safety and functionality of vehicles.
This article is not to justify one car mark or manufactory-country or vehicles type (pickup, suv, roadsters,.,.,) , be course lately match of different car-model-design have a low driver visibility.
I can prove this is be course the flat A-pillars and windshield fashion.
I have been witnessed of a lot of accident with visibility problems involved.
That’s way I think this article is very important to try to get the car industry to design more safe vehicles to use in the City traffic.
Thank you
Stef Breukel
Spelling and Grammar
editI (121.72.240.101) made a few changes to spelling and grammar, but then saw the "Proposed for deletion" tag and have realized that the article is beyond my capability and do therefore not have any further intention of improving it, and thus agree with the deletion. Merge
editI have removed the delete tag, tidied the article a bit, and suggested a merge with Blind spot, which covers the same ground. SilkTork 08:08, 30 June 2007 (UTC)
Hello
Yes It is the same ground
But is it possible to merge "Blind spot" in "Drivers visibility"
Not be course I started the "Drivers visibility" article. :)
But "Drivers visibility" contains more than just the Blind spot.
In this article we can show something about windshield reflection and other things that eliminate the visibility.
It is all for the interest of the transport safety.
Stef
Wath is a blind-spots ?
editYes, but what is a blind spot.
I think in the window reflection is also a blind spot.
I tried to put some information on the blind spot page, but someone deleted is because it was not the mirror-blind-spot.
Some people think the mirror blind-spot is the only blind spot that exist.
Truck driver blind-spots
editThere must come some information on WP about the truck drivers blind-spots
Modern cars or fashion cars
editI have been thinking to call flat-windshield-cars "modern cars"
As long there is no good solution for the A-pillars and the reflection problem, the flat-windshield-cars will be a temporary fashion.
A lot of people in Europe do not like flat-windshield-cars because they have experienced de disadvantages.
Think about driver visibility before baying a car
editI do not understand way light colored A-pillar interior panels exist. In the the 90's these were in the production cars always safe dark.
For a tall driver is best not to driver a small 4 door car.
This "Tall driver in small 4 door car"image is a serous problem that the B-pillars take the driver visibility. Yes i understand, text is enough to explain this problem.
Stef
Slow and fast car speed crossroad image
editThis is a proven problem that a lot of people do not know of.
Please can i put this image back in the article ?
The problem is very clear and easy to explain.

Stef
Yes good suggestion to merge with blind-spots article
I do not know how to merge, but I Agree
Thanks,
Stef
"Please let the name "Driver visibility"
There is to match misunderstanding with the back-blind-spot
I am using the name "Driver visibility" to give this subject more attention.
A lot of people understand there is a big problem with the modern car design for the public safety.
article reorganisation
editThis article is very important for the visibility in future car design.
I deleted some information in this article
I will put is back later
Please help me later to check the grammar
Thank you
Drivers-visibility in a horizon plane on eye-height
editEverybody should easily find this information on the Internet? The degree of the A-pillers blocked visibility

This Article,
edit... and the associated talk page are hilarious. We've got some dude who brags about inventing a lamp writing essays, no idea what's going on anywhere, and a total disregard for the article at hand. section "Other automibile design factors" aerodynamics
editThe aerodynamics of the windshield did not change match the last 20 years, this is still 35 degree. The angle of the a-pillar changed from 40 to 35 degree. The Renault Twingo 1992 was the first production car with the a-pillar 35 degree

Windshield angle
editQuote:
"Other disadvantages of a flat windshield angle:
- Other traffic can not see the driver through the reflection if the driver can see them".
In my experience, a flat windshield angle also makes it difficult for the driver to see out in bright sunlight. Have other people had this experience? I think the best arrangement is a near-vertical windshield, as in a WWII jeep. Biscuittin (talk) 19:28, 11 August 2009 (UTC)
Merge this page with "blind spot automobile"
editYes I think it is a good idea,to mix this page with blind spot automobile.
If it does not work we an chance is back
