BAC of 0.1 means nothing.
editBAC of 0.1 means nothing.
To be understood by somebody we do not yet know the meaning of the article, it should be written 0.10 g of alcohol for every dL of blood, or in the international system: 1g of alcohol by L of blood.
0.1% or one tenth of one percent is also unclear: does it mean that both blood and alcohol are 1000 g per L? Is the percentage in mass or in volume?
For instance, when we read on the French wikipedia that En France, depuis 1995, le taux légal est de 0,5 g d'alcool par litre de sang (ou 0,25 mg par litre d'air expiré) (In France, since 1995, legal rate is 0,5 g alcohol per blood liter (or 0,25 mg by air liter of breath)), everybody can understand what is written, nothing is omitted or hidden. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 77.193.104.227 (talk) 00:07, 19 July 2017 (UTC)
Driving in the United States is similar to driving in Canada, Australia, and the United Kingdom but different from Europe, Asia, and Africa.
editWhat do we mean by Driving in the United States is similar to driving in Canada, Australia, and the United Kingdom but different from Europe, Asia, and Africa.?
If we look at safety score (KSI) USA is nearer to Africa and Asia than to UK, and UK is nearer to Europe.
As long as UK is part of EU, there are some similarities between UK and EU.
If there is some international comparison to be given, they should be given in the body of the article, with source and/or reference:
- What might be written is that some states require an International Driving Permit (IDP) from foreign nationals, in addition to a valid license from your own country.
- But this is no more true with Florida since 2013. After a three month stay, the driving license should be exchanged[1].
- There are some specificities regarding red light: in the USA, the car should stop enough before the red light, because the red light is on the other side[2].
- In the USA, alcohol is limited to 0,05 or 0,08 grammes by blood Liter, depending on the state[3].
- The main difference which makes UK closer to the USA than to Europe is the usage of MPH instead of km/h in UK and in the USA.
- Some other specificity of the USA: the Carpool, the stop when a school bus[4]
- The technique control ys performed yearly
- When a driver is followed by a police car, the driver should stop immediately on the right and keep his hand on the wheel.[5]
- As in France, assurance is mandatory.[6] — Preceding unsigned comment added by 77.193.104.227 (talk) 09:10, 19 July 2017 (UTC)
