Giant drop needs to link to the Giant Drop rides, not to Dreamworld (fixed). There are drop towers named Giant Drop in the US too, and others of the same design with different names. There are many other drop tower rides that aren't listed, like Superman at Six Flags Over Texas (similar to Cedar Points but taller and with only 3 towers), and the gyro drops at Kings Island (Drop Zone) and Six Flags Over Georgia (Acrophobia). I dont quite understand where to put them on wiki or all the models, and don't know where they're all located (at which parks), or I would.

Drop tower (ride)Drop tower – The disambiguation page, Drop tower, currently has 3 items on it. I feel the two other items - Drop tube and Drop Tower: Scream Zone - could be handled using hatnotes (the latter of which has already been implemented for a while now). In my opinion Drop tower (ride) is the primary topic and according to this policy hatnotes could be used in this situation. This move would also allow natural disambiguation to occur over the current parenthetical disambiguation. Drop tower could be deleted under WP:CSD#G6 (preferred) or moved to Drop tower (disambiguation) (which is currently a redirect). Themeparkgc  Talk  08:45, 19 February 2012 (UTC)Reply

Support — I support this move as drop tower seems to be the primary topic and it would be ok having hatnotes for the other two articles. --Astros4477 (talk) 15:36, 19 February 2012 (UTC)Reply

Accident in Brazil

edit

There has recently been a fatal accident in Brazil involving a drop tower called "La Tour Eiffel" at the theme park Hopi Hari in the city of Vinhedo. A 14-year-old girl died after falling from the tower as it descended. I think it would probably be relevant to add this information to the article. Here are some references in Portuguese: [1] [2] [3] [4][5] [6] [7]. Faciam (talk) 00:47, 27 February 2012 (UTC)Reply
