editIs 'Czechia' the modish anachronism now for Bohemia, in order not to offend Moravians or something? Czechia! Is this designation authentic? Wetman 05:04, 14 Jan 2004 (UTC)
- It certainly isn't the English word for anything, and this is the English Wikipedia. RickK 05:08, 14 Jan 2004 (UTC)
The article is a mess. Its authors are ill-informed, by the way. It is just well known that king Ladislaus died of leucemia! 82.100.61.114 08:23, 4 March 2007 (UTC)
Some notes
edit- "The Přemyslid dynasty which had ruled Great Moravia" - nonsense, Great Moravia was ruled by House of Mojmir
- Duchy of Bohemia established 950 - nonsense, established 850
- Brandenburg, Silesia etc. as fiefs - nonsense, they were crown lands
- Prague was not imperial city, but capital.--Yopie (talk) 18:57, 15 August 2011 (UTC)
- You are right, of course, but with exception of the Silesian duchies. Already during 1289–1291 Piast dukes of Bytom, Opole, Teschen and Ratibor swore a homage to King Wenceslaus II of Bohemia and subsequently obtained their lands as fiefs. Fiefs of the Bohemian Kingdom, not Crown (which was created – as you certainly know – 60 years later). It is important to not to forget these immediate Upper Silesian fiefs. --Iaroslavvs (talk) 20:58, 31 October 2011 (UTC)

History of the Lands of the Bohemian Crown (Middle Ages) → Duchy of Bohemia – The Lands of the Bohemian Crown were established in 1348 by Charles IV, before it was just Duchy of Bohemia and Kingdom of Bohemia. It should be renamed to "Duchy of Bohemia", all from 1198 moved to Kingdom of Bohemia and all connected to Lands of the Bohemian Crown from 1348-Maria Theresa to: Lands of the Bohemian Crown. - Support. The nominator gets it. Srnec (talk) 07:09, 24 February 2013 (UTC)
