I know of no lake in the NW Ontario region called Falkland Lake, however these is a "Falcon" lake, which I assume is what was meant. However, there is no way that the train could have come from Falcon (Falkland) Lake. The line passing through Dugald goes too far North to have been easily accessible by people visiting Falcon Lake.
Therefore I deduce that it came from Minaki, given that it was the "Minaki Campers’ Special" that was involved. Waterford0069 06:17, 1 September 2007 (UTC)
Account doesn't make sense
editHow come the crew of Extra 6001 are being blamed for not taking the siding at the east switch? They didn't control the switch. If the switch wasn't set, that's the fault of people on the ground, not in the train.
Or did the train derail at the switch because of too high a speed and continue on the ties into the stopped train? Matthew Brown (Morven) (T:C) 12:12, 13 October 2020 (UTC)
