Dukes of Albret → Duke of Albret – The article is about the title, not about its holders. Opera hat (talk) 03:44, 27 September 2012 (UTC)
Survey
edit- Oppose. WP:PLURAL says to use a plural for, "articles that actually distinguish among multiple distinct instances of related items." Kauffner (talk) 08:30, 30 September 2012 (UTC)
- Support. The title is a single item. WP:PLURAL does not apply. DrKiernan (talk) 12:18, 3 October 2012 (UTC)
- Support. undo of undiscussed move.Jack Bufalo Head (talk) 22:57, 9 October 2012 (UTC)
- Support. undo of undiscussed, and redirect locked move. (and someone should probably notify Emperor's New Spy below re being mentioned below). In ictu oculi (talk) 01:14, 17 October 2012 (UTC)
Discussion
edit- Any additional comments:
The third editor above Jack Bufalo Head has noted undiscussed moves and redirect-locks in Category:Dukedoms of France. Additionally I note that these moves seem to have been pushed through (and then locked) despite another WP Nobility project regular editor The Emperor's New Spy objecting and reverting per WP:BRD, then being moved again a la edit war: e.g. from Dukes of Chablais, and redirect edit lock

I tried to revert some of the moves but user:Kauffner keeps deleting my db-g6 tags, as [1], although the move is obviously controversial, as every other editor objected. An admin should revert all the moves to put and end on this. Jack Bufalo Head (talk) 02:08, 17 October 2012 (UTC)
- Jack Bufalo Head. I notice that your db-g6 to WP:BRD was clearly labelled "db-g6|rv undiscussed move" - the whole point of reverting an undiscussed move is to go back to the less controversial status quo. It should have been let go forward to the G6 admin queue since it had been redirect locked. You say "every other editor objected", on which page? Apart from Emperor's New Clothes where is the actual discussion on this? In ictu oculi (talk) 02:39, 17 October 2012 (UTC)
- To clarify, based on the survey here and the Emperor's New Spy reverts, all of the editors seems to oppose kauffner moves. Jack Bufalo Head (talk) 15:07, 17 October 2012 (UTC)
