When does it really open?

The template was replaced today with a good reference - straight from the Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority. Thanks, MistaTee. But, this brings up an odd question. The two references are at odds with each other: reference 1, the front page of the site, cites an opening date of 2016. Reference 2, which is the specific page for the station, cites TBD as the opening date. Which is correct? --Tim Sabin (talk) 01:00, 27 August 2009 (UTC)

Dulles International Airport station → Washington Dulles International Airport station – Metro has finally released their new official map with the stations of the Silver Line listed, and "Washington Dulles International Airport" is the formal name of the station. Much like Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport station, the Dulles station page should be reflective of what it is officially called by Metro. • Weak support/maaaaybe too soon since it's not open/used yet to know what will happen. It is likely most people in verbal conversations will just say "Dulles" or "Dulles Airport" (or, honestly, "IAD") when referring to this station just as people say just "Georgia Ave" and "King St". It also seems that local reliable media has begun shifting to primarily using "Washington Dulles International Airport station" at first/primary mentinon. Skynxnex (talk) 23:57, 4 November 2022 (UTC)
• Oppose. We should have a redirect from the proposed name and already do, but the current name is unambiguous and trivially more concise so there is no call to lengthen it. The official name does not come into it, other than making the redirect from it necessary. I note also that by the target history there have been several bold moves.
