editAs the person who began this page (originally it was migrated from the Victoria Cross Reference website with permission, as part of an ongoing project) I should like to make one or two observations.
1) I do not know what needs cleaning up. Perhaps someone could kindly enlighten me, or even do it. (I am fairly new to wikipedia.)
2) I originally created the "Duncan Gordon Boyes" page, but then moved the data to this page "Duncan Gordon Boyes V.C." because in the case of this man the only thing to discuss is how he won the Victoria Cross. He died young and in tragic circumstances without achieving anything more. But I would not be against a move back to "Duncan Gordon Boyes" if there was a consensus for that.
3) I see that the neutrality of the article is not necessarily disputed. That's good, because I don't see what should be reworded to make the article more neutral. As it happens I have my own views on the Boyes case, but I don't think you can guess them from the way this page is written. Indeed the text of the page was not written by me, but perhaps lightly edited.

- I've moved this talk page across to sit next to the article because it's a lot less confusing this way. What the naming convention is on letters that follow people's names I don't know however there are plenty of articles on wikipedia for people with the Order of the British Empire where the letters are not placed after their name so I don't dispute the move. As for neutrality I can see one or two places where the prose is not entirely written from the neutral point of view but there are far worse articles for POV on wikipedia that I don't think we need to worry about this one too much. -- Graham ☺ | Talk 17:12, 4 Dec 2004 (UTC)
