Translation
editI changed the translation of "dupa biskupa" to "bishop's ass," rather than "ass of bishop." Wiktionary has polish dupa = "ass," biskupa = genitive singular of "bishop." The English genitive has two forms, the preposition "of" and the +s form so in principle either one could be used. In this type of construction the +s form is by far the more common and natural-sounding English genitive. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Piddle (talk • contribs) 14:13, 18 July 2009 (UTC)
- But now in Polish it would be translated as biskupia dupa (not dupa biskupa, what makes difference (a little)). So ass of bishop sounds there better than bishop's ass :P —Preceding unsigned comment added by 77.114.252.240 (talk) 02:19, 29 July 2009 (UTC)
Re:
editThis article is totally misleading and false.
You play this game with decks of 24 cards (one is not enough).
Each player receive number of cards and place them in front of him, with their back to the top. Nobody knows his cards. Players one after another place one card from top of their pile in the middle of the table, till the last moment not knowing what is it (everybody should have same ammount of time for reaction). After showing the card, everybody should immediatly react to the card.
It's not true that reactions limit only to queen, king and ace.
The reactions are as it follows:
- 9 - everybody should keep silent and still
- 10 - everybody should hit the pile with their hand - last one who hits, takes the pile
- J - everybody should say "good day sir!"
- Q - everybody should say "good day madame!"
- K - everybody should salute
- A - everybody should say "dupa biskupa!" (ass of bishop)
The winner is who get rid of his cards first.
