edit@87.123.158.239:-That he lived in a racialized society and perceived racial animosity directed at himself is relevant to his worldview. Removing or whitewashing such perception is not relevant to his current status as an active tennis player on the world court, but is relevant to understanding the person. If you need further explanation, see the on-court taunts directed at Venus and Serena Williams early in their careers over the beads in their braids, their ‘otherness’, and other subjective values, causing Richard (Williams) to react negatively to the perceived racism and getting thrown from the tour after the incident at Indian Wells. It also caused them to retreat introspectively in the locker room as a coping mechanism. See also Althea Gibson, tennis’ first black women’s singles champion, whom after shaking hands with the Queen after receiving her Wimbledon trophy and achieving the highest honors in her sport, went home to Wilminton, North Carolina where she was forced to sit in the back of the bus in the ‘colored’ section because her home state still fought to remain segregated under Jim Crow laws. See that Racism in Germany is alive under ‘’incidents in reunified germany’’ – and under ‘’public debate’’, where racism in the GDR is a topic covered here on wikipedia in detail. Had it been pointed out (it wasn’t) that he (Dustin) was Gay, that info would not have been removed from his early life because he also "experienced friendship, appreciation and love", as it has been argued that race is as important as sex[1]. Removing that info about the racism encountered is not warranted. ( I don’t feel this is what sums up a person, or a single edited sentence, but include it under talk to explain why I returned the edited piece to the article.) 108.54.89.206 (talk) 23:05, 7 July 2015 (UTC)
(→Early life: is that a relevqant information concerning his life in Germany? He also faced friendship, appreciation and love.)
