123eme RIdL not relevant

edit

Although the Dutch troops of the 2nd Regiment were designated to be part of the 123eme Regiment Infanterie de Ligne in 1810, in effect this only mattered for any troops stationed in the Netherlands. All Dutch troops of the 2nd Regiment that were in Spain as part of the Dutch Brigade were almost immediately designated 'a la suite', which meant that they were no longer really part of the 123eme. None of them were transferred back to the Netherlands to be a part of the 123eme that fought in Russia. All of them were incorporated into the 4th battalion of the 130eme de Ligne in 1811. So the whole paragraph about the 123eme's involvement in the Russian campaign can be scrapped from this article. 59.167.48.129 (talk) 05:19, 24 September 2024 (UTC)Reply
