Update on EU sustainable investment taxonomy
editThere is controversy around the EU decision to include nuclear electricity and natural gas as sources of energy allowable for sustainable investment. Austria and Luxembourg intend to litigate against the inclusion of these two energy types.
A basis for the litigation may be inferred from an article by Climate Action Network Europe. The article asserts and argues that "Genuine green investments don’t include fossil gas and nuclear, and what the Commission has done by proposing to classify them as green puts a big stain on the label." <ref>https://caneurope.org/the-eu-cant-afford-labelling-fossil-gas-and-nuclear-as-green/<ref> Rrands (talk) 20:19, 3 February 2022 (UTC)
