Ealdorman not king?
editSurely this individual was an ealdorman and not a king. The Kingdom of Sussex ceased to exist in the mid-ninth century. "Dux", after all means ealdorman in tenth-century charters. I can't see any source for naming him as "king", or am I missing something? Retroplum (talk) 02:08, 29 March 2015 (UTC)
Your not missing anything, Eadwine was certainly not a king, it must be a mistake by an editor from a while back. JoshNEWK1998 (talk) 00:04, 2 April 2015 (BST)
