OK, we may need to distinguish Lord Ruthven of Freeland and Lord Ruthven titles. In a 1911 Britannica article, Ruthven (family), we have descriptions of Lords Ruthven of Freeland dating to 1701 at least with dubious claimants after that. When was the title of Lord Ruthven of Freeland attached to the Earldom of Carlisle? Alba23:16, 21 August 2005 (UTC)Reply

Does Phillip have an heir? Otherwise the Scottish title will deperate from the earldom and we'll need to list the division. Alci1217:56, 26 November 2006 (UTC)Reply
