editThis (File:Real Varanus salvator cumingii.jpg) image is Earless monitor lizard (Lanthanotus borneensis) (Nijman, V, and Stoner, S. S. (2014). Keeping an ear to the ground: monitoring the trade in Earless Monitor Lizards. suggestions!
editThree sections that are missing that should be included in the entry are parental care, enemies, social behavior. While there is a discussion on reproduction, there is no mention of parental care which is something that can be added to boost the page’s comprehensiveness. Adding a section on enemies would also be interesting to see given that earless monitor lizards can swim underwater and it would be interesting to learn more about how they bypass aquatic predators and parasites during feeding. Lastly, it would be helpful to see the addition of a social behavior passage as very little was mentioned about their socialization and would help explain certain aspects of their classification such as why they are rarely seen. Perhaps they group up and live underground?
I will be looking to maybe add these in the future so this can serve as a reminder for myself
