Exclude World War III:Black Gold Reference

edit

That game really has nothing to do with the Earth series besides being developed by Reality Pump/Topware. I recommend the comment be removed. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by FordGT90Concept (talkcontribs) 06:33, 3 December 2006 (UTC).Reply

I am in agreement with this comment. The Black Gold reference is entirely unnecessary and has no connection whatsoever to the "Earth" series. Unless anyone has any objections, I remove it forthwith. El Oscuro 11:27, 18 March 2007 (UTC)Reply

Are you sure about that? One of the Earth 2160 trailers quotes the Black Gold intro and has long montage of Black Gold cutscenes before continuing with E2140 ones, ending with E2150 ones. If that's not an official confirmation, then what? amitakartok —Preceding unsigned comment added by 89.147.67.118 (talk) 20:44, 16 April 2009 (UTC)Reply

who knows, maybe WW3 was before the events in Earth 2140, however there shouldve also been the Great War of 2048 which completely wiped out current states —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 84.57.181.59 (talk) 00:42, 10 January 2007 (UTC).Reply

Scientifical Accuracy

edit

If Earth has to fall into the Sun its orbital speed must be reduced by 90% at about 27 km/s. The bomb has to be really POOOOWEEERFUUULL!

Or maybe it hit the wrong spot at the wrong time. I read a book where nukes dropped during WW3 hit tectonic weak points (e.g. volcanoes and faults), causing Earth to change the location of the poles but without changing the axial tilt, e.g. the whole surface moved around without moving it's rotational axis. Result: China and South America became the new poles (both rotational and climatic) with Greenland becoming mediterranean and Europe becoming semi-arid at east (now north) and swampy at west (now south). amitakartok

Eurasian Dynasty

edit

Actually if you read the manual it says "Greater Russia was one of the Parties of the war in 2048", and the ED was formed after a general from an ex-Russian (ex Russian because of a nuclear war which wiped out all of the countries which we know nowadays) military base went with his troop to Mongolia to seek women and food for his force. Thats when the Khans came in and in Earth 2140 Khans are at the power of the Eurasian Dynasty. However before 2150 a revolution in ED happens and the state becomes more remnicent of former Russia. Former Russian territory is recovered and the technologies from 2048 are developed further (which explains why ED relies on technology partly remnicent of current Russian inventory). So in 2150 the Mongols are not that influental anymore.

Skirmish?

edit

Has this game a skirmish mode or not?

-- yes, it does. in addition, it has a pretty powerful level editor, and online play (although theres no telling if there is still a community playing it --Soapy5 —Preceding unsigned comment added by 66.118.230.101 (talk) 02:11, 4 September 2007 (UTC)Reply

I think any online community that build tend to die as soon as someone finds out that the winning startegy is choosing Lunar Corp and rush with machinegun Lunars, you'd think those units sucks, but their price and build speed more than make up for the lack of firepower and armor. Not everyone plays for rushing. In the expansions, the winning strategy would be a mass of Fat Girl E with Super Fighter AAR escorts. Completely unbeatable. amitakartok —Preceding unsigned comment added by 89.147.67.118 (talk) 20:38, 16 April 2009 (UTC)Reply

Vista

edit

Earth 2150 has a compatibility issue with Windows Vista and requires the installation of an update found at www.earth2150.com to run.

Is this also a Mac OS X Game?

edit

It is in the Mac OS games category yet in the infobox it only lists Microsoft Windows. Is it or is it not to be Mac-compatible? Althepal (talk) 05:12, 28 August 2008 (UTC)Reply
