Should be merged
editThe topic and contents of this page, and much of the actual text, are substantially the same as those of Earthsea -- compare Earthsea#Setting and Earthsea (universe)#Geography -- and should be merged into it. @P64: what do you think? Thnidu (talk) 04:11, 19 August 2015 (UTC)
- No, they should be split further.
- The other article Earthsea should be about the Earthsea series --mainly fantasy literature but including fictional reference material (Tales part 5) and nonfiction (Tales foreword, Earthsea Revisioned, probably other lectures or essays). The universe/world/archipelago, reception, adaptations should be summarized there but covered elsewhere. As for Narnia=>The Chronicles of Narnia, also Harry Potter, Dragonriders of Pern.
- Much of that article should be imported to this article Earthsea (universe), or curtailed or deleted there if it is already here; and vice versa. Compare Narnia (world), also Harry Potter universe and Pern.

- @P64: You've convinced me. But I'm not ready to do it; that's a pretty big project. --Thnidu (talk) 15:33, 20 August 2015 (UTC)

Direct Quotation Should be Replaced
editFollowing Wikipedia's tenet of neutrality and efficiently summarizing information, the majority of direct quotation on this page should be removed. The importance of this article should act as a summary and instead of including direct quotations the statement should be a summary and use an appropriate citation to the source. Whether this is referencing an article or a specific book it is important to also have them referenced in the actual references section and not the bibliography. The Harry Potter Universe page (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fictional_universe_of_Harry_Potter) offers a good example and template.
