shooting
editI didn't add in the reference to the "shooting" because I don't believe it is notable. But the reference can be found here. -Jcbarr 00:34, 6 May 2006 (UTC)
- It is in fact conisdered to be very notable in the state of North Carolina, especially the RTP area. I have cited the event from 3 legitimate sources. --GoOdCoNtEnT 16:27, 23 July 2006 (UTC)

ECHO + Speech and Debate
editThe mention of the ECHO is unimportant to the article, as is the link to the Speech and Debate team. Honestly, who cares that much about Speech and Debate at ECHHS?
Speech and Debate is one of the largest extracurriculars at East and is a nationally successful program. It deserves to be on the article as much as Arnav's math accomplishment.
You could say the same thing about DECA as well as many of the other clubs at East, yet you don't see them mentioned on this page.
- That does not justify non-inclusion. Considering that this page is about the school, specific details about accomplishments of individual students do not seem to merit much emphasis. The notability of these feats diminishes rapidly with time and will soon be of little relevance to the school. On that note, I'm reducing the notable events section to the shooting case, which continues to have a significant impact on the school thru. security policies, etc. Treeears 00:33, 25 October 2007 (UTC)
- On second thought, I'm leaving parts that are sourced. Treeears 00:37, 25 October 2007 (UTC)
I'm not amember of speech and debate, but I have been to their website and they are actually one of the best teams in the country. Really. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 76.182.27.125 (talk) 01:10, 6 January 2009 (UTC)
