highest point
editIf the highest point is in Buckinghamshire, then it's not in the region. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 86.159.42.241 (talk) 18:50, 28 December 2008 (UTC)
- The named highest point is in the South East, it's an unnamed hill in near Ivinghoe Beacon that's the highest in East England- Ivinghoe is just used as a locator. Oliver Fury, Esq. message • contributions 21:00, 28 December 2008 (UTC)
According to Linking Britain, the highest point is given to an 'unnamed point' near ivinghoe beacon. This is actually Clipper down, which rises to 249 Metres above sea level and is in the South Eastern border of the East if England Region. Therefore that clarifies that Clipper Down is the highest point in East of England. (See Ivinghoe Beacon for more details on Clipper Down). — Preceding unsigned comment added by 217.156.134.120 (talk) 14:22, 24 July 2012 (UTC)
monarch
editRemoved "home to ... and monarch" monarch hasn't existed for a few years now so it seems irrelvanet to include it as home to a company that no longer exists. Hopefully I won't get reverted. 82.4.80.121 (talk) —Preceding undated comment added 23:51, 7 July 2019 (UTC)
Climate section
editIt makes no sense that the climate section is at the end of the article. It needs to be among the first, as in all articles dealing with geographical regions/jurisdictions. I'll move it.188.25.175.56 (talk) 07:21, 21 January 2012 (UTC)
infographic?
editHi, I’m Andrew Clark and I work at the Office for National Statistics in the UK.
We publish lots of infographics and I wonder if this one on East of England (https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Regional_Profile_of_the_East_of_England.png) would be of interest for East_of_England
FYI, the full gallery, updated weekly, is here <https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Category:Content_created_by_the_Office_for_National_Statistics>
All the best

Changed some wording
editI just did a minor edit of changing a few words to help the sentence flow. Hope this helps. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Buskingbunny (talk • contribs) 06:34, 24 March 2022 (UTC)
Indian summer
editIsn’t this an American term? I don’t know if it has been adopted in the East of England but, to me, it seemed out of place in this article. Humphrey Tribble (talk) 01:24, 19 October 2023 (UTC)
Map please
editI came to this article wanting to know the scope of “East of England” but didn’t find answers. Could the map File:East of England Counties be added very near the beginning? Humphrey Tribble (talk) 01:30, 19 October 2023 (UTC)
- The article includes several maps, including one showing local government areas. I don't see any need for another one. Ghmyrtle (talk) 08:09, 19 October 2023 (UTC)
