Poor wording
edit"In the Roman Catholic Church and some Anglican churches, Easter Friday falls within the Octave of Easter" is rather poorly phrased. Easter Friday falls within the Octave of Easter in all churches; the issue is that the Octave of Easter is only observed with its own special practices in the RCC and some Anglican churches, while in other churches, the Octave of Easter is no different from any other week. I can't think how to re-phrase the sentence to say what it means, though. —Angr (talk) 06:11, 29 April 2011 (UTC)
Reference for “The name is sometimes applied incorrectly to Good Friday”
editThis is not a reference, it is an example. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 194.159.4.38 (talk) 20:56, 4 March 2015 (UTC)
"the Friday after the Christian festival of Easter"
editIn the Roman Catholic Church (at least) the 'festival of Easter' is 8 days. All the liturgical texts make this evident - they say all week "this day, today", etc. So the text should say either "the Friday in the octave of Easter" or "the Friday after Easter Sunday". --2607:FEA8:D5DF:F3D9:90A5:43E0:2661:3E2A (talk) 16:27, 17 April 2020 (UTC)
