Oldest church claim
editThe following sentence contains a claim which is simply not possible: The Jerusalem Evangelical Lutheran Church is one of the few buildings that survives in Ebenezer and is the oldest church building and possibly the oldest building in the "New World."
It may conceivably be the oldest surviving church building in colonial North America, but a number of New World churches in Mexico, Peru and Quebec, to name only those locations, are clearly older than 1734, the date at which this settlement was founded, with the church being built some time later. However, even this is unlikely, as there are churches in Boston which predate Ebenezer, and no doubt the same can be said for St-Augustine and Jamestown and elsewhere.Owen S Hughes (talk) 01:06, 14 September 2011 (UTC)
