editRe: Echoes of Eternity's notability
As the editorial director of GuitarHead.net, I would argue that this band is notable for several reasons and that this article should remain, albeit with addenda and editing as deemed necessary. My reasons are outlined below.
1 Given the marketing, promotion, and distribution of this band's debut record, I would suggest many other individuals or organizations would require unbiased and comprehensive information on the band. Wikipedia is a trusted source of such information, and I believe it would be remiss to remove it from this encyclopedia.
2 This band has been signed to Nuclear Blast records, which there is a team of professionals who believe it has a financial future. In light of this, I believe there is a good chance the band will continue to develop and more information will come to light, which in turn would (hopefully!) be worthy of encyclopedic inclusion.
3 In terms of musical dynamics and guitar techniques, the band shows both promise and originality, and is quite likely to generate interest, emulation and further study. Although this type of speculation can not be readily quantified as justifying notability, I would suggest that it would push the band in the direction of the 'grey area' of exceptions to the rules.
4 I make these arguments as a reviewer with no financial, social or similar affiliation with the band, who strives to be as objective as humanly possible. Having heard the work of many bands who, quite rightly, are not featured on Wikipedia, it is my professional opinion that Echoes of Eternity have hallmarks which render them sufficiently notable for inclusion. 58.179.20.234 14:12, 10 April 2007 (UTC)
- I don't feel the band's notability is in question. LuciferMorgan 21:39, 11 June 2007 (UTC)

editThe band has soundscaned 1,676 albums in America as of 4/18/07. Is that notable enough? 208.48.150.6 11:42, 19 April 2007 (UTC)
