Advertisement tag
editHi everyone, i put the {{advertisement}} tag in place because this page reads like the home web page of the Economics Chapter of the SDS. Sorry, but wikipedia is an encyclopedia. There inevitably is some cross-over between giving publicity for the phenomenona studied (which could be political/commercial organisations like this one) and documenting them encyclopedia style, but if wikipedians start looking seriously at this page, they probably would not be terribly happy.
This tag is a suggestion to get to work on NPOVing etc the page and remove stuff like "Announcements".
In fact, i'll quote what's written above my edit box: Wikipedia is not an advertising service. Promotional articles about yourself, your friends, your company or products; or articles created as part of a marketing or promotional campaign, may be deleted in accordance with our deletion policies. Using STELLA to Teach Macroeconomics. An article by David Wheat in The Connector. At the Brandenburg Technical University Cottbus in Germany System Dynamics is incorporated into courses "Introduction into General Economics" and "Business Cycles and Economic Growth" (upper-level course) by Prof. Wolfgang Cezanne (Chair of Macroeconomics) and Lars Weber (Web site: Chair of Macroeconomics). They use the system view to give students an idea about how things are connected in the economy. They draw CLDs for common economic problems. In the upper-level course SD is used to visualize and understand the links between the variables in common economic theories. They also held seminars, in which students can investigate different policies by running simulations.
