An outline
editI'm envisioning a 3-part article. The first part is a brief history of Macau's economy. The second part is about some general topics of the economy, such as labor and employment, the monetary system and pataca, and international trade. The third part briefly discusses some important sectors in Macau, like tourism and gambling, manufacturing, and banking. Any suggestions and help are greatly appreciated. Are there any evidence of the "bribes" done by the Portuguese so as to get hold of Macao? As far as I know Macao was granted due to the Portuguese help in fighting against pirates. Even if this information is not totally correct, I really think that using the word "bribes" for a deal that happened 400 years ago is meant to create hatred against a country: Portugal. Macao was given to the Portuguese for a specific period of time. When the time ended, Portugal gave it back. What do you have to say about Hong Kong's conquer by the English? What about the opium trade carried out by the English which was the reason why Hong Kong was conquered? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 92.250.36.48 (talk) 03:51, 21 May 2009 (UTC)
