There's a bio here: http://www.cdr-inc.com/index_bio.html

which reads in full:

He served as president and chief operating officer from 1994 to 1998, chairman and chief executive officer from 1999 to 2006 and chairman from January 2007 to April 2008. He led the initial public offering and 1995 spin-off of the company from Sears, Roebuck and Co. and guided Allstate through this transformation. Previously, Mr. Liddy served as senior vice president & chief financial officer and senior vice president-operating of Sears, Roebuck and Co., and as chief financial officer of G. D. Searle & Co. He is a director of 3M Company, The Goldman Sachs Group, Inc. and The Boeing Company. He is chairman emeritus of Northwestern Memorial Hospital and serves on the boards of Northwestern University and the Museum of Science and Industry. He is also a life trustee and former national chairman of the Boys & Girls Clubs of America. Mr. Liddy holds a B.A. from Catholic University of America and an M.B.A. from George Washington University.

some parts of this can be worked into the current article. Edward Vielmetti (talk) 04:40, 17 September 2008 (UTC)Reply

Lawsuits

edit

Just wondering why their is nothing in this article about the lawsuits against Ed Liddy? I know of a class action lawsuit, that the EEOC is suiting him, and AARP are all suing for breach of contract from his time at All State.68.52.83.108 (talk) 12:29, 19 March 2009 (UTC)Reply

Do you have any references for these lawsuits? Gareth Jones (talk) 14:54, 19 March 2009 (UTC)Reply
he may be referring to a series of suits that were filed by once-captive sales agents at Allstate. IIRC they sued when Liddy made structural changes to their compensation contracts, and Liddy won in court. I don't have a source at hand, though. SmartGuy (talk) 16:13, 19 March 2009 (UTC)Reply
