Monk parakeets

edit

Is it worth mentioning that a colony of Monk parakeets has taken up residence in Edgewater? This is an introduced species to NJ. --ChrisRuvolo (t) 17:26, 15 February 2008 (UTC)Reply

Personally, I think it is worth it. The Monk Parakeets are an interesting part of Edgewater. I wrote a section about them.Manray00 (talk) 21:35, 20 February 2009 (UTC)Reply

Japantown?

edit

Usually when "town" is added to a general group it indicates there is a centralized population of that group, viz. Chinatown in San Francisco. There isn't a Japanese population in Edgewater fitting that description. Mitsuwa is a well-known Japanese restaurant and a prominent feature of Edgewater, but the heading for the section is misleading. Could the author change it?Manray00 (talk) 19:36, 19 February 2009 (UTC)Reply

There has been no response. I am deleting the Japantown reference. Mitsuwa is still mentioned as offering Japanese-labeled groceries.Manray00 (talk) 20:11, 23 February 2009 (UTC)Reply

In 1640, David Pietersen de Vries bought from the Tappan a tract of about 500 acres (2.0 km2) and established Vriessendael (Edgewater),about an hour's walk north of Communipaw. [1]

Should the external link called "Edgewater NJ" be deleted? It looks like advertising. It includes facts about the borough, but these are available in other external links.Manray00 (talk) 17:36, 2 March 2009 (UTC)Reply

Notable resident, Chien-Ming Wang?

edit

The article on Fort Lee also claims Chien-Ming Wang as a notable resident. In addition, the wikipedia article lists him in Fort Lee. Where does he live? (The internet footnote beside his name in the Edgewater article no longer works.)Manray00 (talk) 16:53, 16 March 2009 (UTC)Reply

Notable resident, Liz Claman?

edit

The article on Fort Lee claims Liz Claman as a notable resident.Manray00 (talk) 03:09, 23 May 2010 (UTC)Reply

The source cited at the Fort Lee article states that she had lived in Fort Lee previously. Alansohn (talk) 04:01, 23 May 2010 (UTC)Reply
