Article name
editSince this station will be served by trams as well as National Rail services, convention dictates that the article's name should be suffixed with "station" rather than "railway station". This will also allow a distinction to be made with the closed Gogar railway station on the E&G line, which does not yet have its own article. –Signalhead < T > 17:31, 8 December 2009 (UTC)
- Actually doing a little research afterwards I'm not sure whether simply Gogar should be used or Gogar Interchange or even Edinburgh West. I also need to add another source suggesting the interchange, which seems to be a bigger thing than other stations I have tackled, is projected for 2012 but I am probably rambling now. Do you know if the previous station was on the same site? Simply south (talk) 19:42, 8 December 2009 (UTC)
- No, the previous Gogar station was on the E&G line. The new one will be on the Fife line. As I understand it, the new station is to be named "Gogar Interchange", but that could change. –Signalhead < T > 20:12, 8 December 2009 (UTC)
- I wonder how i can sift through all the proposals and responses to the consultation for what to put about the station or maybe i should wait to see if it is approved first. I wonder who else is interested in this project. Simply south (talk) 20:41, 8 December 2009 (UTC)

Proposal: This page should be re-titled "Edinburgh Gateway Station" as that is the planned name. See the following links: Edinburgh Trams Local Update, Edinburgh Trams Route Map, Transform Scotland report, Network Rail Spreadsheet (note this states "Edinburgh Gateway previously Gogar Interchange"), More from Google.... - Good idea, though with a lower-case s for consistency. I have added a redirect from Edinburgh Gateway station for now. The Network Rail spreadsheet has moved to a PDF[1]. Certes (talk) 22:32, 18 March 2011 (UTC)
To close this chapter, it has now been moved. Simply south...... cooking letters for just 7 years 21:44, 29 September 2013 (UTC)
Title
editCould someone update the title of the article with a capital "S" for "station"? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 62.30.167.26 (talk) 11:16, 19 May 2015 (UTC)
- No. We use small "s", see Wikipedia:Naming conventions (UK stations). --Redrose64 (talk) 22:46, 19 May 2015 (UTC)
- I see. A lot of Scottish stations don't follow this protocol. That's the only reason I flagged it up. Cheers. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 62.30.167.26 (talk) 00:45, 21 May 2015 (UTC)
