As the Wikicup is coming to an end, trying to get some more nominations dealt with would be good I think. I'll take a look at this one, will post review as soon as possible. Kosack (talk) 06:42, 11 October 2018 (UTC)
Initial review
Lead
edit- "With a population of 39,709 residents in 2010 U.S. census", should that in the 2010 census?
- Fixed.
19th and early 20th centuries
edit- I would link Puget Sound at the start of the second paragraph, WP:OVERLINK allows for one link after the lead.
- Fixed.
- There are a few red links in this paragraph, WP:REDLINK would discourage linking unless the subjects are likely to meet notability guidelines. I'm unsure of what these are for things like the Seattle and Montana Railroad so I'll leave it at your discretion just so you're aware.
- Removed one link for the Minneapolis company that I don't think will be filled. The railroad and interurban are both notable subjects that I plan on writing about.
Geography
edit- Puget Sound is linked here but there is a previous mention in the first section. Move the link to the first use.
- Fixed.
- Unlink King County and Lynnwood, both previously linked in the article.
- Fixed.
- Lake Ballinger has a Wiki page that can be linked to.
- Fixed.
Government and politics
edit- "The current mayor"', WP:REALTIME would discourage uses of terms like currently which could potentially be out of date.
- Fixed.
Arts
edit- "has a historic single-screen movie theater ", is historic a WP:PEACOCK word here? The source seems to provide no explanation as to why it would be considered that.
- Removed.
Education
edit- Unlink Lynwood, previously linked in the article.
- Fixed.
Transportation
edit- Everett is linked here but is mentioned previously. Move the link to the first use.
- Fixed.
- Unlink Edmonds Community College, previously linked in the article.
- Fixed.
Healthcare
edit- Unlink Swedish Medical Center, previously linked in the article.
- I'd like to keep this link, given that it's the main focus of its subsection and has quite a bit of distance between mentions.
Overall, very little to complain about. Given your impressive editing history, I wouldn't expect anything less and this is a great piece of work. Placed on hold for now until comments are addressed. Kosack (talk) 08:25, 11 October 2018 (UTC)
- @Kosack: Thanks for picking up this review. I've made the changes as you've spelled them out, with one exception. SounderBruce 17:05, 11 October 2018 (UTC)
- @SounderBruce: Nice work, I see your point about the Medical Center link, I avoided the Carnegie Library link in historical preservation for precisely the same reason. All points have been addressed, this comfortably meets the GA criteria. Promoting. Kosack (talk) 18:23, 11 October 2018 (UTC)
