editfolks, added the info graphic and pushed the POTUS/Byers thumb to the left. The info graphic is good for the story. 199.208.239.140 (talk) 12:17, 8 March 2016 (UTC)
Purple Heart
editFor which conflict did he get his Purple Heart medals? Iraq, Afghanistan, or both? I'd like to know so I can add the WIA template next to the wars in the infobox. – Illegitimate Barrister (talk • contribs), 08:36, 16 January 2017 (UTC)
will?
editand will graduate from Norwich University in Northfield, ? 2001:7C0:2041:1AA:0:0:0:DB (talk) 12:00, 8 July 2017 (UTC)
- @2001:7C0:2041:1AA:0:0:0:DB: Yes, I noticed the future tense for an event of last year, and that is why a few weeks ago I marked it as needing an update. A reliable source can confirm the information (i.e. sometimes newspapers in the town of a university will list all the graduates and not just those who are local residents). BSM w/ V Device
editI noticed, looking at the history that someone with a user name, matching the subject of this article attempted to make multiple edits, one of which concerned the subject's Bronze Star Medals. I see that except for one case the individual did not cite any references. I see that the original source stated only two of the BSMs were awarded with a valor device, however I found two other sources which contradict that original source, and state that all 5 were with a valor device. Therefore, I hid the original source, and the wording it had verified. I am seeking more reliable sources to see which number is more often used.--RightCowLeftCoast (talk) 08:50, 23 April 2018 (UTC)
Father
editI know the ref says "father" served in WWII but this guy wasn't born til 34 years after the war ended. Maybe it was really his grandfather. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2600:8805:5800:F500:34B3:8A8C:F18B:65A4 (talk) 02:46, 10 July 2018 (UTC)
Hannah, daughter
editHannah, the subject's daughter, is not presently notable herself per WP:FIGURE/N. Hannah competed at the US Figure Skating Championship, but finished 6th. She finished 4th in the South Atlantic Regional Championships. Additionally, she doesn't meet WP:GNG.--RightCowLeftCoast (talk) 02:07, 10 September 2018 (UTC)
MSM
editA picture taken at his retirement ceremony shows him wearing a Meritorious Service Medal. Presumably he had just received it, as it isn't part of his rack. https://www.dvidshub.net/image/5766272/master-chief-special-warfare-operator-seal-edward-c-byers-jr-retirement-ceremony 216.255.165.198 (talk) 22:01, 29 September 2019 (UTC)
