edithi, just wanted to point out that most of the information here comes directly from a review of anne de courcy's book, rather than from the book itself, and is therefore the writer of the review's interpretation of the facts presented in the book. someone should edit this to reference the book itself.
Can anyone supply the info on why he was called 'Fruity'?! — Preceding unsigned comment added by 82.43.102.255 (talk) 09:19, 22 February 2020 (UTC)

editSlight oddness about the daughters. They show in the formal BMD records for 1930 as Dinah and Sheilah, twins registered in St Georges, which is right (as does the brother David Patrick). Parents Metcalfe and Curzon.
But, when they marry, they use different names: Davina Naldera and Linda Mary - still using the Metcalfe surname and there are public announcements of these marriages. There are no birth records with these names. I can't find a christening announcement - so how and when did this happen? Was the name change immediate; perhaps Dinah and Sheilah were "place holders" while they thought about names, or was there a disagreement? Sebmelmoth (talk) 08:56, 2 August 2020 (UTC)
