On May 5, 2011, U.S. Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid filed for cloture on Chen's nomination.
Final vote
editThe Senate has reached unanimous consent to hold a final vote on his nomination, however, a date and time has not yet been scheduled on which to hold the debate and vote.
