Lizzie's comments
editThis article is an in depth look at the effects of adoption on the birth mother. I felt it was informative and concise. There were some small grammatical errors and the writing style was a little weak. For example, the "e" in "effects" in the first sentence does not need to be capitalized. It is hard to vary nouns/pronouns used in an article like this but variation within "her" and "the mother" could be refreshing. All of the references look like the same article, is it possible to reference the specific page used so people can see exactly where the information came from? Other than that, I think this is a really solid article and I definitely learned a lot! Elk234 (talk) 20:39, 7 November 2014 (UTC)elk234Elk234 (talk) 20:39, 7 November 2014 (UTC)
Rose's comments
editThis was a good article, as it was very organized in the division of the supporting topics regarding the effects of adoption on the birth-mother. The only comment I have is that of the references listed, six of them are the same; therefore, there may need to be more diversity and a greater number of references. Other than that, however, I do think this article is well-constructed and informational. Rose0244 (talk) 20:39, 7 November 2014 (UTC)Rose0244
Jack's comments:
editThis article has more structure than is needed for the amount of information provided. The information itself is informative, clear, and comprehensive. The references should be more extensive. In general, the article gets the job done.
Audrey's Review
editThe article is very organized and thorough, especially the layout of the stages of grief. Also, the connection made to international adoption offers additional learning opportunities for readers. Under "Exploitation of birth mothers," are reports from countries such as Argentina based on a credible source? I do not notice any citations here. Is this based on the study referenced as the 8th? If so, I think it would be better to clarify that these studies are not independent research by having the citation immediately after first mentioning the studies. Moreover, I think the article could benefit tremendously, in terms of the richness of information, if it relied on more references than just three sources. Overall, a great job!
