It seems like there are more links in the text than actual information about the village. I find myself distracted when every other word is a link.
Many of these links are unnecessary as they lead to one another naturally. For example, the link to the article about Stockton-on-Tees should explain about it being a unitary authority which in turn will surely inform a reader about the Local Government Act and the abolition of certain counties.
