Ugh, what a mess. I hope I fixed it up correctly. Egli had mixed feet and statute miles, then assumed ideal half-wave dipoles at both transmitter and receiver. Then Seybold had copied all that without being specific about units. -- KerwoodDerby (talk) 00:04, 28 April 2012 (UTC)

This is equivalent to a propagation loss model in dB of:
