Talk:Egypt, Ohio

The phrase "The name "Egypt" was supplied by one of the early pioneers, who is said to have remarked that "this place smells"" somehow seems to me insulting, for the place, for the swamp, and mainly for Egypt and the egyptians. I would propose to distract these two facts for not creating an equation "Egypt = bad smell". E.g.: "The name "Egypt" was supplied by one of the early pioneers. The community remained small; some of the early settlers are said to have remarked that "this place smells"". ThomasPusch (talk) 11:10, 28 September 2022 (UTC)Reply
