Merge proposition
editBoth articles are of the same organization --Chrisdab 02:57, 19 October 2006 (UTC)
- Disagree. Although there is some overlap (and the literature on the topic often blurs the distinction between the two), they are distinct organizations. —Morning star 04:31, 25 October 2006 (UTC)
- Disagree. Further proof of distinction between the two groups lies in the fact that Islamic Jihad has merged with Al-Qaida, while Al-Gama'a al-Islamiyya has officially denied any connection. Rahman is the spiritual leader of Al-Gama'a, while Zawahiri is the leader of the Islamic Jihad. They share roots in the Muslim Brotherhood, and a goal of overthrowing the Egyptian government, but one has renounced violence (Al-Gama'a) and the other still embraces violence (Islamic Jihad). - Disagree. ok I can concede that they are seperate groups, but you will not know that by reading these articles on wikipedia. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Chrisdab (talk • contribs) 06:39, 20 December 2006 (UTC).

Islamic Jihad Organization [Egyptian Islamic Jihad]
editIn a meeting in the Sudan we (Iraq March 1993) agreed to renew our relations with the Islamic Jihad Organization in Egypt. Our information on the group is as follows: It was established in 1979. Its goal is to apply the Islamic shari' a law and establish Islamic rule. It is considered one of the most brutal Egyptian organizations. It carried out numerous successful operations, including the assassination of Sadat. We have previously met with the organization's representative and we agreed on a plan to carry out commando operations against the Egyptian regime. http://a.abcnews.com/images/pdf/Pentagon_Report_V1.pdf —Preceding unsigned comment added by 76.87.137.28 (talk) 01:51, 16 March 2008 (UTC)

A banned TV series "Al tareeq ela kabul" "The way to kabul"
editA recent TV series talked real deeply on the perpose and origin of such organizations that appear during the peace treatment between egypt and the USA so as to give egypt sinai without any conflict with the US in exchange for eliminating the wide spread of Communism in the region that was present because of the previous regime ally with the soviet union that had a lot of supporters in egyptian society specially in collage students and professors, and to aid the US in the cold war by recruiting egyptian youth to go and fight the soviet that kill muslims in afghanistan by the aid of old islamic organisations for jihad belife and military intelligence for means of training this was also in "Sadat movie", in cooperation with the pakistani government to Infiltrat afghanistan teritories by the recruits from egypt and saudi arabia. The TV series also discussed a question asked from afghnistanis to the comming new people : "why you leave your land occupied by israel and come here to free afghnistan?" Also the TV series clarifies about the presence of unlimited funds from the USA in egypt for the perpose of war in afghnistan. The tv series also shown a lot of battles by afghanistanis against the USSR. After the 8th episode the TV series was cancelled by the production comopany claiming it was threatened by taliban in afghnistan to blew up the company's building or to cancel the show saying that the TV series distorts the organization and what the organization aims. A strange act by the production company is to accept despite of the high budget used for the show. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Dokdok200 (talk • contribs) 06:23, 5 October 2009 (UTC)
