editIt's the same thing, just a different way of writing it.
It makes perfect sense to merge the two articles, the final product would result in something like this: Eku (sometimes spelled eiku) is a ancient weapon of Kobudo that is shaped like an oar. It is approximatly 160cm in length. The weapon came into use when fisherman needed some protection against invaders, especialy samurai, who carried weapons. At that time possesing a weapon was illegal and so to defend themselves many people used items they already had as weapons. The eku has techniques that are similar to those of the bo, the eku can also be used to throw sand at your opponent. The eku has a displaced center of gravity and is heavier than the bo which makes it considered difficult to master. This also means that large circular attacks can be useful since the eku's weight helps it to gain momentum.
Seriously, you ninja-nerds need to start citing sources for your fantasy weapons. -- Rogerborg 23:13, 3 January 2007 (UTC)

to keep me off the page altogether. I made the following changes:
- Added archive https://web.archive.org/20070928190630/http://kata-reference.com/index.php?style=7 to http://kata-reference.com/index.php?style=7&kata=73
- Added archive https://web.archive.org/20070928190623/http://kata-reference.com/index.php?style=8 to http://kata-reference.com/index.php?style=8&kata=84
