El Ad Association
editThis article is about El Ad Properties - a for profit real-estate development company. The article you are citing discusses 'El Ad Association'- a non-profit organization, which is a different entity. It nowhere states that there is any relationship between the two (though I agree that is likely) , and it certainly does not describe EAA as "the settler wing" of EAP. Criticism sections should be kept to a minimum, be focused on the actual article subject (vs. guilt by association), and avoid original research. Canadian Monkey (talk) 23:54, 15 June 2008 (UTC)
CanadianMonkey has rightly noted that these two -- ElAd Properties, a NY-based real estate company associated with Lev Leviev, etc. and the Elad settler group at the Silwan page -- have been conflated in the entry revisions I have written up. However, the sources do not say they are the same. Nevertheless, I know for a fact that they are; I simply cannot find a source at the moment. Just wanted to give a heads-up to any editors here in case I get distracted away from the issue while working other pages, and they manage to find such a source. I think it's an important connection to make, personally. Best, LamaLoLeshLa (talk) 17:00, 16 June 2008 (UTC)
ElAd Group - ElAd Association
editI'm cutting this section from 'controversies' until a source connecting the two can be found.LamaLoLeshLa (talk) 17:38, 21 June 2008 (UTC)
- Jerusalem: ElAd has been involved in efforts to build a modern-day Jewish settlement based on the ancient City of David, in the Palestinian village of Silwan, adjacent to Jerusalem's Old City. Since 1991, over 50 Jewish families have moved into the area, over protests from Israeli activists and Palestinians of the area, particularly in the neighborhood of Al-Bustan.[1] As of April 2008, the Israeli High Court had issued a temporary order staying further construction on ElAd's archaeological park in Silwan, for the time being.[2]
