Origins From Blast Off
edit"Blast Off", a song released on the River Cuomo's album "Alone", was written for "Songs From The Black Hole." This album was scrapped and various songs and elements were put to use on Pinkerton. While Blast Off was scrapped the guitar arrangement at the end of the song (from about 1:33 on) became the main guitar arrangement for El Scorcho.
Half-Japanese Girl
editI've heard that Miki Berenyi is the "half-Japanese" girl mentioned in "El Scorcho," but this is probably just a rumor...anybody know anything about this? -- Callmarcus, 12 February 2007 (UTC)
Rivers just likes Japanese girls. There is no one Japanese girl. He married to a Japanese girl. He also dated one in high school. -?????? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.118.187.54 (talk) 02:14, 6 October 2008 (UTC)
Miki was the half-Japanese girl in the song - HE was the dude the 3rd verse of "Ladykillers" was written about. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2A00:23C4:4C0F:300:D030:7188:99EC:6507 (talk) 20:07, 30 March 2017 (UTC)
Capitalization of "El Scorcho"
editIt doesn't make any sense to typeset the song as "el Scorcho" simply because that's how it appears in the script on the album, because all of the song titles were written entirely in lowercase there. Even the title of the album is written in lowercase. In fact, the "S" probably just appears capitalized because it's unique handwriting. If you're going to put the "El" lowercase, you need to make all of the songs on the album lowercase as well, which would be foolish because the band's name is in all lowercase on every album. 'Stiffed'
editThe article states that the video was stiffed on MTV. I've never come across the term before, and a quick Google search doesn't bring anything up. 122.105.132.6 (talk) 04:12, 5 January 2013 (UTC)

Relation to Pink Triangle.
editThis song is mentioned as sharing overarching themes in the article. As far as I am aware, there are no Pucinni references in Pink Triangle. It makes more sense to compare with “Across the Sea” or “Butterfly” Huskago (talk) 04:16, 20 March 2024 (UTC)
