The statement that Noble was "invited by President Jimmy Carter" is inaccurate. As the citation reveals, the meeting was convened by Midge Costanza, whose title was Assistant to the President for Public Liaison and who issued the invitations at the request of the National Gay Task Force. Carter himself was at Camp David on the meeting date. I was at the meeting. I've modified the sentence. Wbkelley (talk) 14:53, 2 February 2008 (UTC)Reply

Fourth, not third

Before Kathy Kozachenko, this article mentions only Nancy Wechsler as an elected/out public official. But, Jerry DeGrieck fits into the same category as Nancy Wechsler, in this respect. The two of them (Wechsler and DeGrieck) had been elected to seats on the city council in Ann Arbor during the same election. And, somewhat later, the two of them came out; each doing so, during the course of a single meeting of that city council. This sequence of events was described by Nancy Wechsler at http://www.equalitygiving.org/Gay-Politicians , in a comment posted January 7, 2009.

I suspect that [a comment on that] particular web page does not meet Wikipedia standards to be used as a reference, but possibly some other citable source exists. If I were going to edit this page, I'd start by checking whether it is possible to cite the Ann Arbor News article from that time. Publius3 (talk) 01:17, 18 April 2011 (UTC)Reply
