This article should not be speedily deleted for lack of asserted importance (A7) because it doesn't pertain to a "real person, individual animal, commercial or non-commercial organization, web content, or organized event". Its subject is a government service provided by a web site, and so I don't believe that "no indication of importance" applies here. I believe a better option for it would be to move its information into a new section on COVID-19 vaccination in South Africa. (This may take a little bit of work because, regarding the EVDS service, the dates in this article don't quite match up with the dates in that article.) --Brian Kendig (talk) 18:06, 26 March 2023 (UTC)Reply
Hi Again Brian, I don’t think the article should be merged as it has high relevance locally.
Although it may not have as many page views (+/- 800 in the past year), the real value is it showing up in Google search as a infobox. By merging the article, I think it will get completely lost and forgotten TapticInfo (talk) 18:31, 26 March 2023 (UTC)Reply
Good evening, I believe EVDS should be deleted, or at least in part merged into COVID-19 vaccination in South Africa under a new section (which could still retain an infobox), or expanded to include more noteworthy points:
It includes information about its registration process and the types of vaccination cards available—this is not part of the Wikipedia notability guidelines. However, it does seem to provide some useful information on the EVDS, which could be considered useful for readers who are interested in the subject. This can be merged into COVID-19 vaccination in South Africa
The Wikipedia community could also decide to move it to the draft space and edit it with information relevant to its function and it as an entity and what it has achieved. Not what it can do, for Wikipedia is not a WP:NOTGUIDE.
Great work, Waddie, with the name change and your other edits to make the article less about process and more about purpose. Thank you! -Brian Kendig (talk) 02:16, 28 March 2023 (UTC)Reply
Hi Brian, The URL still works, I was just able to use it to get my own vaccine card through it. I tested it through a VPN through a UK Server and it seems it the website only works in South Africa TapticInfo (talk) 18:22, 26 March 2023 (UTC)Reply
