concrete or iron suspension bridge?

Under "History" we are informed that the iron bridge of 1862 in 1925 had to make way for a new concrete bridge. And then we read that Elgin Bridge is known as thih tiau kio in Hokkien, meaning "iron suspension bridge". Elgin Bridge → Elgin Bridge, Singapore – There is a much older bridge (opened in 1896) with the same name in India i.e. Elgin Bridge, Barabanki.
