Editor ModFun has declared a professional connection to the subject of this article. I've tagged both the article and this page accordingly. Would anyone else who's contributed to this page like to declare a connection? Justlettersandnumbers (talk) 20:21, 28 June 2014 (UTC)Reply

Some of the initial text of this article was very close to that at http://eliliebstreet.com/biography/. That's now been partly, but not completely, rewritten. I've blanked the section and listed the article at WP:CP. In case there's any doubt about this: the initial version of the page read:

Eli Lieb started writing music when he was sixteen. On twenty, Eli moved to New York where he started to do music, playing at open mics allowed him to meet producers and people interested in his work. When he was in his mid-twenties, Eli stopped doing music for a few years. After this short break ...

and Lieb's website reads:

Eli Lieb started writing music when he was sixteen ... When he was twenty Eli moved to NYC where he started to do music, playing at open mics allowed him to meet producers and people interested in his work. ... When he was in his mid-twenties Eli stopped doing music for a few years. After this short break ...

// Hello! I helped contribute to this article pretty early on but did not create it. I didn't realize that the original text was copied from a fan website, but I did notice that it was poorly written and made a point to modify the whole thing in what I thought was a fairly substantial way. I can also declare I have zero connection to the subject of the article :) I'm happy to try to help sort this out but I'm a little confused about how to proceed, I thought the edits I made (which I can promise I wrote!) should be fine? This initial text you're citing here has since been modified out of the article as it exists right now. Sunandsea37 (talk) 20:29, 30 June 2014 (UTC)Reply

//Back again, I was just looking through the article's revision history and it looks like ModFun's only edits were an attempt to add a photo to the article that has since been deleted. I agree that the photo deletion is appropriate but I'm not seeing how the actual text of the article has been compromised. Sunandsea37 (talk) 20:52, 30 June 2014 (UTC)Reply

//I re-wrote the article, copyright issues have been resolved Sunandsea37 (talk) 20:16, 8 July 2014 (UTC)Reply

I agree, the page looks a lot better, and glad to see the copyright issues were resolved. Bx1451 (talk) 20:41, 8 July 2014 (UTC)Reply

The copyright issue is not resolved. The copyvio notice was removed by someone not authorised to remove it, and without resolving the potential problem. It says on it, in large letters, "Do not restore or edit the blanked content on this page until the issue is resolved by an administrator, copyright clerk or OTRS agent". Please be good enough to respect that until someone has time to look at this. Thank you, Justlettersandnumbers (talk) 23:58, 8 July 2014 (UTC)Reply

// Okay I think I successfully created the temporary draft page this time (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Talk:Eli_Lieb/Temp) - the text there has been re-written. Sunandsea37 (talk) 01:58, 9 July 2014 (UTC)Reply
