Hi, as part of Project Qworty cleanup, we're going over his edits, one of which was this one [1], which removed a ton of biographical information - but all of it seemingly unsourced. I don't have time to go verify all of the sources for this, so I'm just leaving this diff here so that editors can take a look and see which parts of it can be added back, based on sources, of course. --Obi-Wan Kenobi (talk) 01:47, 26 May 2013 (UTC)Reply

Sorry, I am not familiar with how to use wikipedia or do proper edits so i will put something in here. But I wanted to bring to attention that in the first sentence of the biography is wrong and unsourced "the son of Asael Smith, Jr. and Elizabeth Schellenger. In 1809, his father emigrated to Stockholm, New York..." Elias is specifically the son of Asahel Smith Jr. who is married to Elizabeth Schellenger. Asael Smith is Asahel Smith Jr's father (Grandfather of Elias Asahel Smith and Joseph Smith jr.)
