Nickname and quotes
editdont remove the quotes and nickname section from elijah burke it is very important!
Boxing record
editI don't buy it, 102 KO's in a 104 amateur boxing matches? I think it's bogus, I am sure he was good, but those number seem fabricated.
Neither of the records quoted have any sources to substantiate them, and on the surface are ridiculous figures. Even the most celebrated amateurs in US boxing history do not have comparable records. Also, does "Club 5 and Club Plush" even exist?
Until there is any evidence to back up these claims they should not be presented as fact. Would they fall in the category of kayfafe? Benbrindon 05:09, 15 April 2007 (UTC)
I don't doubt the fact that he was good but 102 KO's, and not really hearing about him before wrestling, seems a bit exaggerated.
- As an amateur, Roy Jones Jr ended his career with a 121-13 record.
Pernell Whitaker had an extensive amateur boxing career, having started at the age of nine. He had 214 amateur fights, winning 201, 91 of them by knockouts.
De La Hoya's amateur career included 223 wins, 163 by way of knockout and only 5 losses.
Amateurs have fights that go past the 100s. That's the sign of MOST great boxers if they have a lot of amateur fights. It isn't uncommon for a lot of pro-boxers to have 75+ amateur fights before going pro.
Grammar/Spelling
edit"Two days later on ECW an elimionation chase to No Mercy to chellange CM Punk for his ECW Title was annoneced pitting four of the best ECW could offer in a fatel four way that night which was won by Elijah Burke. It also meant the loser of the match Stevie Richards was out of the chase to No Mercy." This is horribly written. Not having seen the show in question, I'm not going to rewrite, but someone should. Batista feud
editShould there be some kind of mention about their two show feud. I know its not that big of a deal but its the most press Elijah Burke's had in awhile. It's not really a big thing for Batista but for Elijah he hasn't been as active for awhile. Stillboy2191 (talk) 22:55, 13 December 2007 (UTC)
I agree that Burke hasn't had much airtime recently, however I don't think that this would be important to his career thus far. Mjack32 (talk) 11:07, 3 February 2008 (UTC)
THQ
editShould it be noted that he won the thq challenge twice and is the current thq champion Adster95 (talk) 12:18, 28 March 2008 (UTC)
- Doesn't seem very notable to me. –Cheers, LAX 12:24, 28 March 2008 (UTC)

Televised Absence
editI don't think I've seen Burke compete or even show up on WWE since the Wrestlemania 24-Man Battle Royal. Does anybody know what he's doing now? ForteKane (talk) 12:29, 14 September 2008 (UTC)
And also, why was he released? Just for not being put in matches? I thought he had good matches. Anybody know anything else about this if there is? ForteKane (talk) 10:17, 15 November 2008 (UTC)
WWE stock is low so they need to do some budget cuts by releasing some of the wrestlers that weren't being used much, unfortunately Elijah Burke was one of them, along with Chuck Palumbo, Kenny Dykstra and Paul London. WWE made a big mistake by releasing Burke. The Jay Experience 11:43, 25 November 2008 (UTC)
any relation to MVP?
editI was just wondering if Elijah Burke is related in any way to MVP, since they're both from florida, have the same last name, and Elijah Burke was a former cop, and MVP's dad was a cop. I just thought it was interesting, and wondered if it was worth looking into.
- They are in no way related. The Jay Experience 04:15, 24 March 2009 (UTC)
