Notable Personalities Section

edit

I restored the notable personalities (non-fighter) section. When someone goes to a wiki entry and wants to know about an organization, there are many non-fighters they might want to learn about. That section answered numerous questions and made finding additional information easier, so I restored it. Clogar 10:59, 2 November 2007 (UTC)Reply

Cage/Ring

edit

it should be noted that the organization has held events in a ring, octagonal cage, square cage, and circular cage. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.193.22.58 (talk) 05:28, August 26, 2007 (UTC)

I'm not really sure that I see that as important to the article. Why do you feel that should be included? Clogar 13:47, 8 September 2007 (UTC)Reply

that is an important fact, there is a difference between rings and cages, and the tactics that can be used, its also rare for a promotion to alternate, which makes it worth noting —Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.193.22.58 (talk) 04:58, 14 September 2007 (UTC)Reply

Stand alone pages for events

edit

Just adding this talking point that the Elite Xtreme Combat page should just be for info on the company itself (like the Ultimate Fighting Championship or PRIDE pages). Therefore, I've made an effort to create stand alone articles for their events. With the Destiny info, I merely transported over the excellent info already provided and changed little. Hopefully other users will help continue this process in the future. Udar55 00:54, 25 June 2007 (UTC)Reply

Makes sense. When there was only one event, a separate article wasn't really necessary. Now that there are multiple events, however, it is appropriate. GJ. :) Clogar 10:20, 3 July 2007 (UTC)Reply

EliteXC vs. Strikeforce Champion

edit

I noticed some champion edits starting to occur, so I thought I'd comment... AFAIK, Ninja is the EliteXC middleweight champion. Shamrock is the Strikeforce middleweight champion. This is confusing because, IIRC, they both won their belts at the same event (EliteXC/Strikeforce: Shamrock vs. Baroni). If I'm mistaken on this, please let me know. You are correct regarding the champs. Udar55 18:10, 8 July 2007 (UTC)Reply

Herb Dean

edit

Herb Dean reference added back into article. Herb Dean is a known personality that has worked the early EliteXC events. His presence lended credibility to the organization. Clogar 03:49, 31 July 2007 (UTC)Reply

Women's Division

edit

I understand MMA & about the division, but if your going to have belts for the males in EXC then why not one for the Women's Division? I know no one but the people that run the EXC can stat why. But I was just wondering whats the point of a division with no champion? --EHDI5YS (talk) 16:28, 4 September 2008 (UTC)Reply

EliteXC photos on Wikimedia Commons

edit

There are now EliteXC photos available on Wikimedia Commons, released under Creative Commons Attribution 2.5 license, provided directly by EliteXC. As they are sent to me, I will upload them. Enjoy! Kamnet (talk) 12:52, 12 October 2008 (UTC)Reply

Someone please fix this!

edit

We don't need entire news articles in the article, and there's also a nice big chunk of promotional info from the new site. Someone please fix this. --JY23 (talk) 16:59, 24 March 2010 (UTC)Reply
