Is Orientalism still an accurate description?
editLanguage has changed since this DNB article was written a century ago. Is she really an Orientalist, in the 2013 meaning of the word? I would call her a linguist, translator, and possibly a Biblical scholar. Updating the lede is one thing, but really the article should be renamed. BrainyBabe (talk) 22:54, 4 August 2013 (UTC)
- You're quite correct. I think Elizabeth Smith (translator) is a far better disambiguator. I'll go ahead and make the change. Gobōnobō + c 20:13, 5 August 2013 (UTC)
