edit<<Elk Ridge was named for a geographic ridge line, the area and length extending as far west as Doughoregan Manor and as far south as Oakland Mills.>> I don't see a source for this information. Are you confusing Oakland Mills, a village in Columbia, Maryland, with Oakland Mill, a historical mill that was just north of Ellicott's Mills?
