I've edited and destubbed this article. I've removed "January 2006, 104 years to the day, her Gt. Gt. Gt Niece was photographed at the graveside of Ellen." as non-verifiable. I've left the reference to the location of her medal without verifying it myself (I did at least find an exhibition reference to the existence of a medal).--Mereda 09:35, 1 June 2006 (UTC)Reply

discrepancy

edit

According to the article about Ethel Bedford-Fenwick, she was the first Registered Nurse. Can anyone clarify this discrepancy. --Ezeu 00:12, 5 July 2006 (UTC)Reply

      • Ethel Bedford-Fenwick was the first registered nurse in the UK in 1923.

Ellen Dougherty, from New Zealand was the first registered nurse in the world in 1902. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 146.163.156.221 (talk) 21:14, 18 September 2007 (UTC)Reply
